Let’s go!  Your Mission Join us in building the next generation of Bitpanda’s DeFi Wallet, a Web3 consumer application designed to bring crypto to the mainstream. As a Lead Fullstack Engineer, you’ll shape the technical architecture, drive engineering quality, and mentor a growing team as we scale a system trusted by users around the world. You’ll play a critical role in aligning across teams, ensuring we deliver secure, seamless, and reliable blockchain-powered experiences. What you’ll do

Own technical alignment across teams: define API designs, propose architectural solutions, and ensure integrations with dependent services scale securely and reliably. Raise the bar on engineering quality: review code, set standards, and coach engineers to build mature, production-ready systems. Scale DeFi Wallet in production: bring hands-on experience building and scaling Web3 applications, ensuring performance, reliability, and user trust as adoption grows. Drive delivery and execution: translate product requirements into implementation plans, timelines, and technical designs, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes. Leverage 3rd-party providers: integrate external services into our platform with a strong focus on data integrity and security.

Who you are

Typescript expert: strong skills in Node.js/Nest.js, Angular (RxJS), Postgres (SQL), Kafka, Redis, AWS services. Nice to have: Ionic (hybrid applications IOS, Android). Architect & problem-solver: able to align stakeholders, create pragmatic solutions, and take clear ownership over continuously improving the application and development experience. Quality-driven leader: passionate about clean code, scalable systems, and mentoring others to grow in craft and confidence. Collaborative mindset: thrive in cross-team settings, communicating effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders. Bonus points if you’re an experienced Web3 builder: you’ve built and scaled decentralized apps (dApps) in production environments and understand the nuances of blockchain ecosystems and have hands-on exposure to Ethereum (Viem).
