The Sui Foundation is looking for a technical analyst to join the Grants team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in blockchain and experience in identifying, evaluating and managing high impact grant opportunities.

The candidate will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing grant proposals, conducting technical due diligence, and providing recommendations to support the selection and allocation of foundation grants. This role requires excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as a passion for blockchain innovation and its potential impact on various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate grant proposals and conduct thorough technical due diligence on blockchain projects.
  • Analyze the feasibility, technical soundness, and potential impact of proposed projects.
  • Assess the alignment of grant proposals with organizational objectives and grant guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and insights for evaluating grant applications and creating requests for proposals.
  • Provide detailed technical reports and recommendations to support the decision-making process.
  • Monitor and track the progress of awarded projects, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
  • Stay up to date with the Sui blockchain ecosystem and wider blockchain trends, identifying opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of grant evaluation frameworks and processes.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting technical workshops and events related to the grant program.
  • Maintain strong relationships with grant recipients, providing guidance and support when needed.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a grant program or early stage VC, evaluating technical aspects of blockchain projects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in blockchain development, with Move and/or Rust being a positive.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess the viability and potential risks of grant proposals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for blockchain technology and its potential to drive innovation and positive impact.
