BlackPool is seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to join our expanding team.

Who Are We?

BlackPool is a pioneer in the future of web3 gaming and esports. We own and manage a range of digital assets, from play-and-earn game items to metaverse plots. We operate as a DAO built for NFT gaming and investment.

Main Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will also include forging and nurturing strategic partnerships, as well as establishing and refining our operational and legal processes from the ground up.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Business Development: Drive BlackPool's growth by increasing revenue and expanding the customer base. Engage with key clients to uncover new opportunities and boost business. Identify and establish relationships with strategic partners and potential customers.
• Regulatory Navigation: Work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance and leverage evolving regulatory landscapes for strategic benefits.
• Governance Leadership: Manage the project's governance, utilizing its decentralised structure to promote innovation and engage the community.
• Team and Strategy: Redesign the team structure, hire and manage contributors, and execute the business strategy. Innovate and enhance products to attract more users and explore new user acquisition avenues.
• Client and Market Management: Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners. Gather feedback and market insights to guide product development.
• Marketing Initiatives: Launch marketing strategies and user growth campaigns. Provide strategic direction for global brand marketing and collaborate on the creation of marketing materials.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of experience in management consulting and operational leadership, and/or other relevant experience in tech, start-up, corporate, or entrepreneurship.
• 3+ years of experience in web3 gaming, NFTs and/or esports.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage people in dynamic and diverse settings, promoting collaboration and achieving team objectives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, showcasing self-motivation and a proactive approach.
• A relentless and optimistic attitude, dedication to detail, and passion for web3.
• Highly organised and a systems thinker.
• Curious and passionate about new concepts, businesses, and more.
• Proven ability to analyse complex topics, extract key information, and communicate clearly.
• Adaptability to ambiguity, with a preference for data-driven problem-solving.
• Commitment to developing robust processes and procedures to support business growth.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with engineers, finance, legal teams, and other stakeholders.
• Legal background / understanding is a plus.
