This product manager role is best suited for someone with a strong understanding of data infrastructure, architecture and application. As a rapidly growing business we need a PM to come in and help us build out and create data infrastructure to support the RippleX business and drive immediate impact. Additional experience in data applications (analytics, data science, visualization) would be beneficial.

  • Identifying and generating use-cases for new data products (lakes, marts, APIs, etc..)
  • Understand the core business use cases for the data platform and translate those into tangible platform requirements
  • Write PRDs focused on data platform and services feature development
  • Define data flows and contracts from producer through to end-usage
  • Work closely with the business and product teams to ensure data products are meeting the business needs
  • Intake, prioritization and backlog management for multiple products and stakeholders
  • Build and manage road-maps for the data engineering organization
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure requirements are understood and aligned with the overall architecture and engineering principals
  • Drive thought leadership for the data and data engineering organization

This person will bring strong leadership skills as they will need to collaborate heavily with cross-functional internal teams. The role resides at Ripple’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or
  • 5+ years of experience driving data platform development
  • Experience building out data strategy and leading a data organization
  • Ability to concisely articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Prior experience working at a fintech/ payments company or working with finance teams
  • Experienced in building out large data platforms and infrastructure in a compliant and scalable manner.
