Working at Wintermute 

We are seeking an HR Lead who would take on the ownership of the HR/People function including HR processes and operations. Wintermute has strong values on culture, management >

Responsibilities

    • Scaling and operationalizing company’s values and ways of doing business to make sure those are distilled throughout the organization and enable it’s effective running
    • Initiate and execute various initiatives and improvements that help in distilling the culture and values that are important to the organization
    • Work closely with the management and team leads to help them in management of their teams
    • Owning and executing HR operations: employee onboarding and lifecycle management, relating HR system management and documentation, work on payroll with finance, HR policies and liaising with employment lawyers as needed
    • Ownership and execution of HR operations related to visas, relocation, etc
    • Initiation and execution of improvement projects in relation to processes, automation, HR system efficiency etc
    • Organization and coordination of bi-annual performance and compensation review cycles
    • Maintain and increase already high morale by supporting employees in support of all of their needs, addressing and resolving individual employee questions or concerns if those arise
    • Coordinate various HR matters globally including coordination with Singapore office and management of remote employees

Hard skills requirements

    • Educated to a degree level (BSc/MSc)
    • 3-8 years of experience owning significant parts of the HR function in a high performing organization, such as a trading firm, fast growing technology company, consulting firm or similar 
    • Enthusiastic about Wintermute values and ways of doing business, enthusiastic about building and maintaining high performance environments
    • Strong experience in several areas of HR such as performance review cycles, HR operations, compensation, employee initiatives, etc; willingness and ability to learn other areas
    • Ownership mentality: doing whatever needs to be done to achieve the goals, from initiating improvements to effective execution of operational tasks
    • Confidence with Excel/data sets and technology tools such as HR systems
    • Great communication skills - clear, concise, empathetic, ability to speak with very different people (e.g. from deep technologists to MBA graduates) and understand different personalities and perspectives, ability to stay calm and balances even in high pressure situations
    • Proven ability to see the bigger picture, commercial strategy, understand new functional areas quickly, and have a cross-functional mindset
