The engineering team at Chainalysis is inspired by solving the hardest technical challenges and creating products that build trust in cryptocurrencies. We’re a global organization with teams in Denmark, UK, Canada, the USA, and Israel who thrive on the challenging work we do and doing it with other exceptionally talented teammates. Our industry changes every day and our job is to create user facing products supported by a flexible and scalable data platform allowing us to adapt to those rapid changes and bring value to our customers.

We're currently looking for an Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Hexagate team.

Hexagate builds cybersecurity products that protect on-chain and web3 assets. We sit at the intersection of cybersecurity and blockchains—an adversarial space where attacks are constant and response time matters. We’re building a real-time on-chain detection and response platform that combines ML-driven threat intelligence, custom detections, and an LLM-powered rules engine to protect on-chain assets.

What you'll build:

  • Architectural Patterns: Set the standards for how we build and deploy. You’ll define the "Golden Path" that allows product teams to move with high velocity while maintaining the reliability required by institutional FinTech clients.

  • Modernization & Migration: Lead the charge in steering our systems toward modern standards. You’ll own the evolution of our stack, migrating legacy components to Kubernetes, robust IaC, and optimized CI/CD workflows.

  • Infrastructure as Code: Design and maintain scalable, reproducible infrastructure. You’ll ensure our multi-chain ingestion and detection engines have the underlying horsepower and elasticity they need.

  • SRE & Reliability: Implement the rigor of SRE principles. You’ll define system constraints, SLOs, and observability patterns that ensure our platform meets contractual obligations for uptime and performance.

  • Developer Experience: Build internal tooling and platforms that empower engineers to own their services from dev to production. You are a force multiplier for the entire engineering org.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Senior Infrastructure Experience: You’ve built and operated large-scale production environments, preferably in FinTech, Enterprise SaaS, or high-growth startups.

  • The "Strategic Blend": Deep expertise across DevOps, Infrastructure, and SRE. You don’t just "fix things"; you design patterns that prevent classes of failure.

  • Modern Stack Mastery: Proven experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi/Terraform).

  • Coding Proficiency: You are an engineer first. You are comfortable writing and reviewing code in Python, Go, or Rust to build internal tools and automations.

  • Coaching, not Support Desk: You prefer to foster a culture of shared ownership. You enjoy mentoring backend engineers on operational best practices rather than just closing tickets.

  • High Ownership: You take pride in the "invisible" work that makes the platform stable, fast, and secure.

You might also have:

  • Web3/blockchain experience or strong interest.

  • Real-time / streaming data platforms.

  • Security, fraud, risk, or other adversarial-domain experience.

Technologies we use:

  • Languages: Python, Rust, Go

  • Infra: Kubernetes, AWS, Grafana, Pulumi

  • Streaming & Messaging: NATS

  • Data stores: PostgreSQL, Redis, S3
