What is the Role:

As a Venture Analyst at DCG, you will play a critical role in identifying and supporting high-potential startups across the blockchain ecosystem. You’ll be involved end-to-end in the investment process—sourcing new opportunities, conducting due diligence, and helping build conviction through research and analysis of emerging trends.

Unlike many investment roles, we actively welcome candidates from industry contexts such as crypto startups, exchanges, protocols, or adjacent sectors. Prior investing experience is not required—what matters is your ability to understand crypto-native businesses, evaluate opportunities with structured thinking, and work collaboratively within our team.

This role offers the opportunity to engage directly with founders, developers, and communities, while building deep expertise in one of the most dynamic industries in the world.


What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Investment Due Diligence: Support the evaluation of potential venture investments, including product, tech, team and market fit. Develop financial or operating models to inform decision making. Contribute to investment memos and internal discussions.
  • Research & Insights: Conduct sector and thematic research (leveraging onchain data, market analytics and proprietary datasets) on areas such as deAI, RWAs, Stablecoins, DeFi, Infrastructure, Payments and Consumer Crypto. Generate insights and reports on emerging technologies, competitive dynamics and regulatory shifts.
  • Community & Network Engagement: Build relationships across the crypto ecosystem – founders, developers, researchers and institutions – to surface new investment opportunities and insights. Actively participate in relevant communities across platforms like X, Telegram, Farcaster, Discord. Leverage this network to track early stage startups, protocols, and trends in blockchain.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Crypto Knowledge: Conversant in web3, with prior work experience and a strong personal interest in the space. Preference for candidates with experience areas the following areas: RWAs, stablecoins, or crypto financial services, but this is not a requirement.
  • Analytical Skills: A background in finance, economics, computer science, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to critically evaluate investment opportunities. Prior investment experience is preferred but not required.
  • Curiosity & Open-Mindedness: A passion for discovering groundbreaking ideas and working with our portfolio founders who are reshaping industries.
