Role Overview

We’re seeking a Backend Developer with proven expertise in building scalable and efficient backend systems using NodeJS, TypeScript, and relational databases like Postgres. The ideal candidate is a proactive developer who thrives on tackling complex challenges and ideally shares a passion for on-chain trading. As backend developer you’ll build new innovative features, bring on improvements to current products and resolve user requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using NodeJS and TypeScript to support real-time trading functionalities.
  • Database Management: Query data from Postgres and Opensearch databases to analyze and display large-scale, real-time statistics.
  • Blockchain Interactions: Read data from the Solana blockchain or send transactions to enable new trading features.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with designers, product teams and users to align backend solutions with platform objectives.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure backend systems deliver top-tier speed and efficient database queries without compromising on reliability.
  • Problem Solving: Identify, debug, and resolve complex technical issues to maintain smooth platform operations.
  • Code Quality: Uphold best practices by writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript with 5+ years of experience in backend development.
    • Strong command of relational databases like Postgres or MySQL, including design and optimization for high-performance high-reliability use cases.
    • Experience in building backend systems serving a significant user base.

  • Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently while driving projects to completion.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Experience working on backend systems for crypto trading platforms, DeFi applications, or other data-heavy services.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with memecoin trading and the Solana ecosystem.
