We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to lead our Accounting team. The Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial reporting and compliance for our international entities. This position requires a deep understanding of international accounting standards, local regulations, and cross-border financial practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements for entities in Latin America, Asia, and the United States in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and address any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and improve financial performance.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance teams across different regions to harmonize accounting practices and support global financial operations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in international accounting or financial management, with a proven track record in managing financial statements and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS) and local GAAP requirements for the specified regions. Crypto knowledge is preferred, but not required.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and adapt to changing regulations and financial practices.
