About Pye Finance
Pye is building Solana’s yield protocol. Pye makes it easy to stake, trade and forward sell your Solana yield. Our team is currently building a decentralized bond protocol and yield marketplace where users can participate as stakers or traders. Stakers provide inventory to the market by selling their yield upfront, while traders are able to swap the yield of popular Solana LSTs for profit.
Role overview
We're looking for a Senior Rust Engineer with experience with Solana/SVM development and a passion for building DeFi applications. As an early team member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the initial version of the Pye protocol. Your responsibilities will range from overseeing protocol development, to collaborating with designers, developers and product managers, and implementing security measures to protect the protocol against economic and smart contract attacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Protocol ownership: lead the technical implementation of the Pye protocol, including development, testing, audits and post-launch monitoring.
- Smart contract Development: build safe, readable, and performant code on Rust or Anchor.
- Architecture design: influence the design and development of the Pye protocol, ensuring compatibility with the rest of the stack.
- Performance optimization ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency across programs.
- Collaboration: work closely with the product team for fast-prototyping and/or fully-fledged feature development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in software development and 2 years of experience in Rust
- Good understanding of the SVM runtime, working knowledge with Solana programs
- Proven mastery of Solana Rust programs in the onchain DeFi vertical
- You are highly motivated, self-driven, passionate about staking and DeFi
- You write clean, readable and performant code
- English language proficiency

- You have working experience with DeFi protocols on Solana
- You worked on low-level runtimes and SVM
- You live in PST timezone
