A quick run-down of the job

We’re looking for a People Partner who can support and strengthen the people practices that help teams thrive — from performance and development to engagement and culture. You’ll be a trusted partner to managers and employees, combining structured thinking with hands-on execution to deliver effective solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with talent and operations to co-create people programs that are scalable, practical, and aligned with our team’s growth.

Location

Remote within the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Your application will not be considered if you’re outside of this region.

What you’ll do

  • Partner & Enable:

    • Act as a hands-on business partner, guiding managers on performance, development, and team dynamics to help them build high-performing teams.

    • Work closely with our Head of People and Talent team to ensure a seamless, positive experience across the entire employee lifecycle.

    • Collaborate with leaders — particularly in engineering and product — to understand their goals and translate them into actionable people initiatives that drive growth and performance.

  • Build & Deliver:

    • Handle day-to-day People operations, keeping contracts, policies, and systems organized, fair, and audit-ready.

    • Design and deliver career progression frameworks and learning programs that enable individual and team development.

    • Take a builder’s approach — experimenting, iterating, and creating scalable solutions that work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Connect & Belong:

    • Enhance onboarding to ensure every new joiner feels connected, informed, and set up for success.

    • Support culture and belonging initiatives that reflect our values and strengthen connection across distributed teams.

  • Improve & Evolve:

    • Use data and feedback to measure the impact of People initiatives and continuously improve how we support our teams.

What makes a good candidate

  • 5 years of experience in HRBP, people operations, or generalist roles — ideally within fast-paced, scaling environments.

  • Proven track record as an individual contributor who enjoys being hands-on, executing projects, and collaborating in cross-functional teams.

  • Solid knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance.

  • Detail-oriented and organized - you genuinely enjoy managing contracts, systems, and processes that keep things running smoothly.

  • Skilled with Slack, G Suite, Figma, HiBob, Ashby, or similar tools.

  • Strong communicator who can build trust and alignment across distributed teams.

  • Bilingual or native German speaker, with excellent English communication skills.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to create meaningful impact from day one.

  • Previous experience partnering with engineering, data and product teams is a strong plus.

  • Experience in the crypto, Web3 or other fast changing spaces is a big bonus.

Company culture

  • Embracing the differences

    • Embrace your own differences

    • Respect and welcome the unique qualities of others

    • See others’ differences as an opportunity to grow

  • Own it, do it

    • Own tasks end-to-end

    • Hold yourself to a high bar for execution

    • Make bold decisions, and be accountable

    • Understand your limitations and seek for help

  • Fail forward

    • Try - don’t be afraid to fail

    • Learn - don’t make the same mistake twice

    • Adapt - grow with the experience

  • Have fun together

    • Take the time to get to know and understand each other better

    • Don’t take yourself too seriously and keep it light-hearted

    • Fun should be coming from a place of love and respect

What you’ll get

  • Annual team offsites (Thailand in 2023 and Vietnam in 2024 were a blast, Marrakech in March 2025 was blast-ier; let’s see what happens in 2026!)

  • 30 days of PTO

  • Flexible remote days

  • Flexible working hours

  • Equity participation from day 1

  • Entitlement to work computer (choice of equipment)

  • An annual 1,000€ personal development budget once you have worked 6+ months (pro-rated the first year)

  • A one-time 1,000€ remote budget to use on coworking, office setup, etc.

How do I get a job at DeFi?

Getting a job in the DeFi (decentralized finance) industry can be a competitive process, but there are a few steps you can take to increase your chances of finding a job in this field:

  1. Build up your skills and knowledge: To work in DeFi, you'll likely need to have a strong understanding of blockchain technology, as well as other related technologies such as smart contracts and cryptocurrency. Consider taking online courses or earning a degree in a relevant field to build up your skills and knowledge.
  2. Network with industry professionals: Attend meetups and conferences related to DeFi and make connections with professionals in the industry. Networking can be a valuable way to learn about job openings and get your foot in the door at a DeFi company.
  3. Create a strong online presence: Many DeFi companies will look at your online presence (such as your LinkedIn profile and personal website) when considering you for a job. Make sure to showcase your skills and accomplishments online and keep your profile up to date.
  4. Apply for relevant job openings: Keep an eye out for job openings at DeFi companies and apply for positions that align with your skills and experience. Apply for DeFi Jobs without Experience. Tailor your resume and cover letter to the specific job you're applying for and highlight any relevant experience or skills you have.
  5. Consider internships or volunteer work: DeFi Internships or volunteer work can be a great way to get your foot in the door and gain valuable experience in the DeFi industry. Many companies also offer internships to students, so consider applying for an internship if you're still in school.
  6. Be persistent: keep trying if you don't get a job right away. It can take time to find the right opportunity, but with the right skills and determination, you can land a job in the DeFi industry.
