About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Security PMO. The role is to provide specialist hands-on support and expertise for PMO / Project Managers and Programme Managers by planning and assuring delivery of both strategic and operational projects, and are typically used to bring their expertise to a specific high profile programme / project. Responsibilities include ensuring project plans and documentation are complete and up-to-date, tracking and reporting of performance and coordinating project governance arrangements and reporting.

This is a cross-functional position which provides an opportunity to work with Risk / Cybersecurity / Blockchain content experts throughout the organization on a wide range of initiatives that will enable the organization to achieve its vision.

Essential duties and responsibilities of the assistant Manager, Security PMO include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support IT Portfolio processes including IT planning, portfolio governance, project methodology framework, and resource capacity management
  • Ensure project management standards are being executed across the IT project portfolio
  • Ensure relevant programme / project documents are updated to reflect agreed changes and ensure traceability e.g. plan, schedules, product backlogs and the business case
  • Prepare status / management report / dashboard to stakeholders and management
  • Coordinate risk assessments and coordinate them in a risk register, involving stakeholders and referring to specialists where relevant (e.g. legal and regulatory requirements)
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure that project quality standards for processes and deliverables are known and followed, obtaining required approvals from project sponsors
  • Support the implementation of project management tool including Jira, Asana etc
  • Qualifications
    • Proven background in PMO work in a IT / Financial services company
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cyber Security Business or related field.
    • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience performing project management role on complex projects
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus
    • Experience in Business Analysis discipline
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to speak and write about technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences. Able to guide, influence and convince immediate team and stakeholders
    • Inspires and empowers others to maximise performance to contribute to PMO team strategy
    • Builds rapport quickly at multiple management levels; is flexible with regard to changing priorities, instruction, and/ or stakeholders; respects the confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Proficient user of the MS Office suite, MS Visio and MS Project
