Sygnum is looking for a motivated Venture Investment Associate to join our team and continue pushing the envelope in the digital asset industry. This role will form part of the Sygnum investment team for the DAO Fund as well as other investment activities and will be based in Singapore.
Tasks
- Active engagement in all of Sygnum’s ventures efforts across equities and tokens
- Invest in blockchain/crypto projects to grow Sygnum’s business and product capabilities and partnership/ecosystem building through Sygnum’s R&D portfolio
- Scout for startups in the digital asset space through multiple channels to help identify new investments, trends and opportunities
- Deal screening and direct engagement with startups and partners across the industry
- Conduct detailed market and industry research to refine overall investment & partnership strategy on the digital asset economy
- Assess potential investments across equity and token opportunities across digital assets, DeFi and NFTs
- Create investment memo and detailed due diligence reports on investment targets in the digital asset space, including financial analysis and modelling
- Actively engage with peers and partners across the industry to find collaboration opportunities
- Occasional support on investor matters (fundraising, LP updates, etc)
- Manage portfolio companies and support them in their growth as well in any initiatives directly related to Sygnum
Requirements
- 2-4 years of work experience at a venture capital firm, accelerator, startup, or any other relevant space within the digital asset industry
- Prior experience in digital assets and/or crypto is a strong plus, with passion for the digital asset/crypto space being a must
- Proven team player with the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, startups and industry contacts
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Prior experience in assessing and creating financial models (financial modelling skills)
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university, with track record of outstanding academic performance
