Design Director

Job Description

We are looking for a design director to join Nifty's. We are a fast-moving and friendly design team that gets to work with some of the world's largest IP. Your role as a design director at Nifty's will include interpreting project requirements to turn them into compelling experiences within the Nifty's platform, including working with major brand IP. The ideal candidate will be familiar with NFTs and have experience working in agile teams, product managers, developers, and UI/UX/graphic designers.

Responsibilities

- Distill abstract business concepts into elegant creative solutions

- Have a passion for user experience and simplicity

- Take responsibility for the creative vision and the standard of output across team members who work under them

- Pitch ideas confidently and present the creative vision clearly to stakeholders, as well as communicate in the same manner to members of the creative team

- Have strong people management and leadership skills in order to hire, develop, and inspire the creative team

- Ensure that all of the organization’s creative output/visuals are consistent with the overall brand

- Lead multiple projects from conception to completion

- Manage the team's workload in order to hit predetermined timelines/deadlines

- Work with the design, product, and engineering teams to help create and expand the Nifty's design system

- Collaborate with other design team members, cross-functional team members, and stakeholders

- Ask questions and champion new ideas

Requirements

- Five or more years of experience as a senior-level designer. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience directing complex solutions for NFT or other blockchain-related products/platforms

- Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and determine a plan that will ensure they are met or exceeded

- Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions

- Ability to work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications

- Experience creating and working with a design system to create overall design consistency and increase design deliverable velocity

- Experience using tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

- Experience designing solutions for both desktop and mobile devices

- Extensive supervisory experience (including leadership, team-building, and delegation) leading and managing a creative team

- Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval

- Be open to receiving feedback

Bonus Skills & Requirements

- Interest and/or curiosity in NFTs

- Interest and/or curiosity in web3 technologies such as Ethereum, Palm, and other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) networks
