The Role

We are seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner with a strong background in working with engineering teams and startups to join our dynamic organization. As a Senior HRBP, you will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with the overall business objectives and act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing strategic guidance and support. Your expertise in employee relations, goal setting, and decision-making will be essential in fostering a positive work environment and driving organizational success

What You'll Do

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to understand business goals and develop HR strategies that align with and support the organization's overall objectives.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to leaders and employees on a range of employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions, and investigations, ensuring fair and consistent practices are followed.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Work closely with the recruitment team to attract and hire top engineering talent. Develop and implement retention strategies to ensure the organization maintains a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  • Performance Management and Goal Setting: Facilitate the performance management process, including performance evaluations, goal setting, and development plans. Train managers on effective goal-setting techniques and ensure alignment of individual and team objectives with the organization's overall strategy.
  • Organizational Development: Partner with leaders to identify development needs and design strategies to enhance team effectiveness and productivity. Provide coaching and support to leaders in managing and developing their teams.
  • Change Management: Drive and support organizational change initiatives, providing guidance on change management best practices, communication strategies, and employee engagement during periods of transition.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with the compensation team to ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs. Advise leaders on compensation-related matters and assist with the annual salary review process.
  • HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, provide insights, and make data-driven recommendations to leaders for improving employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Compliance and Policy Development: Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, ensuring HR policies and practices are in compliance. Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines as necessary.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leaders, employees, and cross-functional teams, to foster collaboration, trust, and effective communication.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in a fast-paced startup or engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in providing strategic HR guidance and partnering with leaders to drive business results.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience in handling employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute goal-setting processes and performance management initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to utilize HR data to inform decision-making.
  • Change management experience, with the ability to adapt to evolving organizational needs.
