What you’ll do:
- Take ownership of, develop, and maintain our design system for both web and mobile applications
- Define and extend the design token system in close collaboration with the design team
- Implement, update, and maintain JavaScript-based components in isolation. Experience with React and React Native is a must
- Guide front-end developers to use the design system accurately and consistently, mentoring them in implementing best practices
- Mentor and coach engineers in front-end development to ensure cohesion and efficiency across projects
- Approve or reject component additions and changes based on design system guidelines
- Follow best coding practices when developing to set an example for the team
- Familiar with test-driven development (TDD) and implement unit tests for your work
What you’ll need:
- Expert-level understanding and familiarity with JavaScript and CSS
- Extensive experience with Storybook
- Familiarity with Figma as a developer
- Ability to build pixel-perfect components from design handoffs
- Enjoy following clean code practices and able to impart this knowledge to team members
- Knowledge with TypeScript is a strong plus
- Familiarity with both iOS and Android UI patterns is a plus
- Experienced in working with code versioning system (Git), bugs, and issues tracker
