Lead OR Director, Growth Marketing (Deep Tech/Crypto)
Are you technical and also skilled with branding, messaging, and marketing strategy? Do you like building communities, creating technical content, and finding ways to help developers connect and build incredible things? This is the role for you! We are looking for someone to lead our deep tech/crypto focused arm of growth marketing at Ava Labs. This individual will be responsible for being the marketing partner for our Platform and Engineering Teams and plays a critical role in helping grow our Crypto Native Developer Marketing function.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop and own our marketing strategy for technical and crypto native vertical audience.
- Partner with the Director of Growth Marketing, Platform and the Engineering team to grow Avalanche's brand within the crypto native developer community
- Drive awareness, education, experience, discovery and adoption of Avalanche technology
- Develop a shortlist of publishers, influencers, content creators, and other distribution channels for technical and developer targeted content
- Establish content creation and distribution plan for Avalanche Platform verticals (consensus, XPC chain, SDK, Virtual Machine, etc.)
- Set targets for developer content creation, developer acquisition, and developer engagement targets across channels
- Drive top of funnel awareness for the developer community on Avalanche through influencers, content marketing, and other channels
- Oversee marketing P/L and report on financial impact/outcomes of spend allocation
- Define growth goals and KPIs
- Establish team processes as a hands on leader, strategist and individual contributor
- Collaborate with departmental leadership and cross functional stakeholders
- Establish and distribute compelling narratives to grow the developer community
- Set direction for what type of messaging will/should be used in various channels
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 8+ years of technical marketing or product marketing with a focus on developer relations, developer growth, product marketing or developer community building
- 4+ years in combined professional and/or personal experience with developer focused channel marketing - Twitter, Github, Reddit, etc.
- 5+ years experience in a Technical Marketing or Developer Relations role
- 4+ years in combined professional and/or personal experience in crypto
- Prior experience working in high growth startups or rapidly developing industries
- Track record of success in a marketing leadership role focused on a highly technical audience
- Ability to create an integrated marketing plan for your vertical and execute with cross functional leadership teams
- Proven ability to drive growth via technical influencers, technical content marketing, and community building
- Project management and the ability to lead through influence, not authority
- Experienced in technical copywriting, social media marketing, community growth and influencer marketing
Salary Range: $153,200 to $216,000
