As Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll play a pivotal role in advising on legal disputes, regulatory developments, and compliance initiatives while providing strategic legal counsel across the company. Your portfolio will focus on litigation and regulatory advice, with opportunities to contribute to other high-impact areas.

 

This position is fully remote. 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle portfolio of arbitration and other dispute matters in collaboration with outside counsel, including fact-finding, case assessments, e-discovery, witness preparation, pleadings, and trial strategy

  • Anticipate and address legal, business, and regulatory challenges, recommending solutions to mitigate risks and pursue opportunities

  • Provide risk-based legal, regulatory, and strategic advice to product, business, and engineering teams

  • Offer thought leadership on emerging web3 and blockchain legal issues and provide strategic guidance to the executive team

  • Ensure product compliance with relevant U.S. and international laws and regulations

  • Supervise outside counsel efficiently on high-profile and complex matters

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; member of a U.S. state bar in good standing

  • 5–8 years of legal practice experience, including law firm and litigation experience

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Personal interest in web3 and crypto

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with U.S. financial regulatory frameworks

  • Government enforcement experience

  • Prior experience advising on web3 and crypto matters

Compensation:

The base salary for this role, depending on experience and qualifications, ranges from $225,000 to $285,000, along with benefits and equity.
