Position Overview
As a Level 2 QA Engineer at Common, you will play an integral role in our quality assurance efforts for software products. Your responsibilities will include executing test plans, performing testing activities, and contributing to the overall reliability of our products. Collaborating closely with the product team, you will help identify defects and maintain the high quality standards we uphold.
Role and Responsibilities
As a QA Engineer (L2) at Common, you will play a pivotal role in validating and enhancing the quality of our decentralized platform and products. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, product and design teams to understand how the product is intended to meet user expectations, and to confirm that it does just that.
Your responsibilities will include:
Test Execution: Create and execute manual test cases to validate user flows, UI/UX, and application functionalities. Collaborate with developers to identify and isolate defects, providing clear steps to reproduce issues.
Test Automation: Contribute to test automation efforts by designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using relevant testing frameworks.
Regression Testing: Conduct regular regression testing to verify that new features and bug fixes do not introduce regressions.
Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and prioritize bugs using bug tracking tools, ensuring comprehensive and accurate bug reports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements, clarify use cases, and ensure effective communication.
Continuous Improvement: At Common we heavily emphasize a culture of continuous improvement. As such you will participate in test process refinement, suggesting improvements, and sharing insights to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in QA/testing roles, preferably with exposure to web3 applications.
- Basic experience with test automation tools and frameworks. (e.g., Selenium, Mocha, Chai, Playwright)
- Familiarity with testing methodologies and techniques, both manual and automated.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of CICD, Git, Github & high leverage version control workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
