Data Scientist (Remote) (Full-Time)
Responsibilities
- Pull, analyze and visualize various on-chain metrics including token holders, DeFi position size, historical balances, earned fees, etc.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of DeFi protocols including operational mechanics, risk analysis and position capacity
- Forecast market changes based on position size, such as an increase in borrow rates
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science discipline AND 3+ years of experience in software development; OR 5+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of degree
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong background in Applied Math (Calculus, Linear Algebra, Optimization, etc.)
- Programming experience in Python or similar object-oriented language (C++, Rust, etc)
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts
- Comfortable designing, deploying, maintaining, and debugging cloud applications in AWS, GCP, Azure, or a similar cloud environment
- Familiarity with docker
- Familiarity with data science libraries such as Pandas, Scipy, etc.
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies
- Experience writing, maintaining, and upgrading unit and integration tests
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency a plus (however not a prerequisite)
