Position Overview
Oversees/leads development and execution of content and technical SEO strategies; may include developing and performing detailed site audits to identify issues and ensure site is properly optimized for search engine visibility, editing documentation delivered internally or externally by the SEO department and maintaining internal technical/content resources such as checklists and >
What youâll do on a day-to-day basis
- Monitoring search engine rankings of targeted keywords over time to ensure they continue to improve
- Recommending changes to client websites to improve their search engine ranking positions
- Creating reports on keyword performance and competitor activity
- Developing an SEO strategy that aligns with client goals while ensuring compliance with search engine guidelines
- Creating a website map of all pages on a site and any associated subpages, including those linked to but not hosted by the main site
- Analyzing data from organic search traffic to inform decisions about content creation, site structure changes, and off-site SEO efforts
- Reviewing and approving SEO strategies created by junior SEO team members before implementation
- Managing day-to-day operations of an SEO team (2-4 team members), including hiring, training, and performance management
- Reviewing site traffic statistics to identify opportunities to improve rankings through keyword optimization or other means
- Build strong working relationships with developers, designers, and client stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years of SEO experience or similar experience
- Expert at working in the agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, sprints, personas)
- Strong analytical abilities and prior experience with building business cases, data analysis, and problem solving
