London, Hybrid Remote - Please only apply if based in London

Future Networks is an innovative company operating in the ‘DePIN’ sector, a place where blockchain & crypto meets physical, real world devices. DePIN (Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Networks) is a rapidly growing sector of the blockchain economy, and is primed to keep expanding exponentially with new, game changing and disruptive companies emerging all the time.

At Future Networks, we deploy DePIN hardware (Helium Hotspots, Hivemapper dashcams, Dimo devices) across the UK, and are constantly on the lookout for new projects to add to our portfolio of hardware fleets. Find out more at futurenetworks.host.

We’re looking for a candidate who will thrive in a culture like ours, where we prioritise trust & transparency, embrace feedback, and push ourselves to be constantly learning, adapting, and taking on new challenges. We seek people who are excited to learn about crypto, stay on top of the latest DePIN developments, and who will own their projects, their successes and their mistakes made along the way.

Excited to jump into crypto & DePIN? Here’s what you’ll need:

  • You possess a versatile and adaptable skill set, and are ready to 'wear many hats' in a dynamic startup environment. While comprehensive training and support will be provided at every step, a can-do attitude, adaptability and agility in an ever changing working environment is essential.
  • You’ve got positive energy and strive to bring your best self to everything you do.
  • You’re never tired of learning, and love taking on new challenges.
  • You appreciate direct communication, and are both an active communicator and listener. You’re happy to accept constructive criticism, and see every setback as an opportunity to grow.
  • You’re agile & can pivot on the fly - our sector & company strategy is constantly evolving!
  • You’re willing to take on responsibility, often in areas outside your comfort zone, learning as you go. We create high-quality work on quick timelines.
  • You want to be part of a winning team and help build a truly unique, modern and forward thinking company in a new industry.
We’re currently focused on contributing to the growth of Hivemapper - a project aimed at creating a frequently updated map that beats Google maps in cost & quality - by deploying their dashcams at scale across the UK. Managing all aspects of hardware deployment and fleet management, optimisation & expansion will be the focal point of this role.

A successful candidate will be a curious learner, keen to gain exposure to all aspects of how a business operates.

Responsibilities:

  • Own our Hivemapper Business line: You will be responsible for rapidly deploying, managing, and optimising a fleet of over 350 Hivemapper dashcams.
  • Host Communication: you will be the main point of contact for our drivers, helping to efficiently solve any issues / answer questions.
  • Hivemapper Expert: Keep up to date with the latest in Hivemapper and regularly update the General Manager, ensuring that our strategy is aligned with significant developments.
  • Operational Assistance: Assist the General Manager in crafting overall company strategy, business development, and steering marketing initiatives. Your role will also involve contributing to various operational areas on an ad hoc basis.
  • Performance Reporting: Conduct weekly reports on the fleet's performance, providing insightful data and recommendations to the General Manager.
  • Operational excellence: constantly striving to improve and streamline processes. Even if you don’t have the coding skills to implement automation, you can recognise where they are required. This will help us improve scalability and grow at a faster rate.
This position is designed to evolve, offering opportunities to manage projects beyond Hivemapper with time. Our company has grown exponentially over the past 2 years, and this role is an exciting opportunity to join at the ground floor of a rapidly expanding business at the cutting edge of an emerging industry. Successful applicants who prove themselves can expect their roles and responsibilities to expand.

Must-Have Qualities and Qualifications:

  • Willing to learn and take on new challenges and responsibilities from day one.
  • A passion for crypto and disruptive technologies.
  • BA / BS degree or equivalent practical experience (MBA a plus), preferably in Marketing, Business, or Finance (other disciplines will certainly be considered).
  • Excellent analytical skills - comfortable with excel. A data driven approach to decision making.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization, project and time management skills.
  • Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment
  • An appetite for risk and unconventional career paths, recognising the unique growth opportunities this role presents. This will not be your standard 9-5!
We will certainly consider graduates with limited professional experience, as long as you match the profile outlined above.

Nice to haves:

  • Professional marketing experience, especially across social media platforms.
  • Comfortable with crypto tools such as blockchain explorers, have experience sending & swapping crypto assets and bridging between blockchains.
Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • £35,000 OTE (year 1).
  • Bi-annual performance bonus.
  • Have a genuine impact within a rapidly growing, unique startup.
  • A real opportunity for rapid promotion to a leadership position.
  • Learn from two passionate and driven entrepreneurs with proven track records.
  • Hybrid remote work
  • Unlimited holiday

What do you do in a strategy job?

A strategy job typically involves identifying opportunities for growth and development for a company or organization, as well as developing plans to achieve those objectives
