Orca’s mission is to become the leading provider of on-chain financial primitives. We see a future where much of the world’s financial system is powered by ](https://docs.orca.so/new-orca-for-traders/master#what-is-the-difference-between-a-clamm-and-a-traditional-exchange)[DeFi, and we’re looking to hire a Head of Marketing to accelerate our progress towards that vision.

A successful candidate for this role will have an excellent understanding of all common DeFi primitives, including their strengths, weaknesses, and how they interact with each other. An in-depth understanding of Orca’s CLAMM product is particularly important. Detailed knowledge of the Solana DeFi ecosystem, including its history and its users’ preferences, is also required.

What you’ll do

• Review and translate strategy into actionable marketing plans.
• Own Orca’s Twitter account. Create targeted, relevant content that aligns with Orca’s brand and strategy.
• Develop and implement Orca’s channel marketing strategy: rank channels, plan channel-specific initiatives, identify success metrics, and execute campaigns.
• Collaborate across organizational functions to market product releases and amplify Orca’s brand.
• Establish an analytics-driven growth culture by integrating data insights into every marketing decision and campaign.
• Continue to expand Orca’s reach to new and existing DeFi users.
• Begin to position yourself as a public figure for Orca. This could include speaking at conferences, appearing on podcasts, writing for industry publications, or other activities depending on your strengths and preferences.
• Develop your leadership role, managing a Marketing team and budget.

What you’ll bring

• Deep understanding of the culture of DeFi Twitter, especially within the Solana community.
• Significant experience personally using Orca and other Solana DeFi protocols.
• Track record of executing successful cross-channel marketing campaigns.
• Ownership mentality: if you see a better way, you work with others to get it done.
• Thought process that is both creative and analytical, with the ability to put yourself in the user’s shoes.
• Ability to think big picture but also a willingness to get in the weeds and do the work.
• Leadership potential to grow with Orca.
