Job Overview:
The Hardware Repair Manager will be responsible for departmental oversight to ensure comprehensive bitcoin machine maintenance and diagnosis services to repair bitcoin miners.
This is a full-time, exempt position. The salary range for this position is
$52,000-73,000 per year.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Oversees daily operation of Mining Repair for the Mining Operations department
· Repair bitcoin mining equipment such as control boards, power supplies, hashboards and chip level repairs
· Ensure environmental and safety standards are consistently met, identifying problems and making repairs quickly.
· Read blueprints/schematics and assess their working order.
· Support integration of new equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
· Responsible for scheduling adequate staffing to fulfill the needs of the business.
· Develops and assigns repair projects to Repair Technicians.
· Manages employee performance for department, including disciplinary action, performance reviews and adhering to performance goals as determined by the department.
· Develops training and documentation on processes (standard operating procedures, best practices, etc.) to be used as department standard operating procedures.
· identifies department need for additional, specialized, or adaptive training opportunities.
· Identifies, manages, and monitors weekly performance goals for Repair Technicians
· Document and track equipment repairs, inventory, and maintenance activities
· Responsible for implementing budgetary guidelines and managing the purchase requisition process for the department
· Generates weekly reports to identify status of repairs for mining operations.
· Collaborates with other departments as deemed necessary.
· This position will require up to 35% travel to the multiple Georgia facilities for repair needs, with occasional out of state requirements as necessary
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 3+ years technician experience in an bitcoin mining repair environment, or it’s equivalent.
· Ability to repair Bitmain Antminer S19 Series Miners Canaan, Whatsminer
· Bitman repair certification is a plus
· Background in trouble shooting electrical functionality is a plus.
· Maintain latest industry knowledge
· Specific skills: Leadership ability, effective communication, ability to work without supervision, relationship building
· Clear and effective communication skills.
· Able to lift 50-75 lbs.
