They are looking to redefine the trading experience on Solana with Bullet, which boasts 3ms trade execution latency, thousands of TPS and a full featured perps and spot DEX.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a world-class Rust Developer to build and optimize the core backend systems powering our exchange. You will be at the forefront of creating high-performance, scalable infrastructure that handles the demands of modern trading. The ideal candidate is an exceptional engineer with deep expertise in Rust and a strong background in building efficient, reliable, and well-tested systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize core backend systems for our exchange platform.
  • Write highly efficient, clean, and well-structured Rust code with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Build robust testing frameworks to ensure code quality and system reliability.
  • Collaborate on the design of distributed systems and contribute to solving low-latency trading challenges.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and optimize critical components for speed and performance.
  • Operate with high autonomy, driving initiatives from concept to deployment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in Rust, demonstrated through production-level work.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in backend or systems development.
  • Deep understanding of efficient coding practices, performance optimization, and system design.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and low-latency trading infrastructure, familiarity with async I/O frameworks like Tokio
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with exchange architecture (e.g., margin, liquidation, and risk systems) is very favourable.
  • Knowledge of blockchain ecosystems, particularly Solana, as well as rollup technology stacks.
  • Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL and ClickHouse.
  • Experience with API development and integration.
  • Familiarity with performance profiling tools like pprof, pyroscope or flamegraphs.
