Senior Engineering Manager - Market Intelligence (m/f/d). Remote
What you will do:
- Team Leadership
- Lead, guide and grow our engineering team members, with a direct impact on team staffing, career development of individuals, retention, and performance management
- Nurture a team culture that values collaboration, feedback, accountability, innovation, continuous improvement and, ultimately, results
- Planning, Execution, And Delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to organise the team’s backlog and planned work
- You are passionate about the quality of deliverables and should champion Glassnode standards of work through organising, leading and delivery of the team’s engineering work
- Service Ownership
- Take care of planning care & maintenance of services owned by the team
- Hold accountability for system availability and system health monitoring; ensure alerts, metrics, and runbooks are in place; and debug issues in production
- Subject matter expertise around owned services. Detailed knowledge of what/how business capabilities are provided
What you need:
- Technical Breadth as well as Depth gained through 6+ years of industry experience working with designing and building distributed, data-heavy systems at scale
- You are talented at leading and developing people. You have been mastering your leadership skills for at least 3 years within teams of 4 or more Engineers through daily work routines, performance management, and hiring/retaining exceptional talent. And you still are keen to grow as a leader.
- You are confident with a technical ownership of software systems end-to-end, i.e. designing, estimating, implementing, testing, maintaining, debugging, and supporting high-quality software in production
- Technically you bring a good level of understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP (incl. BigQuery). Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, previously worked with Golang
- You can communicate efficiently, have good presentation and interpersonal skills
- You ensure team collaboration is thriving. You are empathetic and do the legwork required to build consensus. Always seek out feedback on technical designs, solutions, and code.
- Previous experience working for a crypto business or financial sector is a plus
