About the position

Keyfactor is looking for a experienced QA Lead to join two of our growing agile teams at our offices in Stockholm.You will be responsible for our testing strategy, guidelines and ensure that our development initiatives meet sufficient quality, standards, and customer expectations. You facilitate testing activities, organize environments, and provide advisory. You work in close co-operation with our development teams using agile development methodologies. This will initially be a hands-on role, where you will also act as a mentor for other team members and assist them with their professional development. Ideal candidates should have a mix of both hands-on testing and automation experience as well as leader experience in a team.

The position is based in Stockholm office, follows hybrid work model with excellent flexible working practices. Applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in Sweden.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement overall test processes, defect management, QA strategies, and best practices to ensure the quality of the company's software products
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and prioritize testing needs (new features, bug fixes) and ensure that all testing is aligned with sprint goals
  • Create test plans, design, and implement test cases, coordinate QA activities, and optimize QA flows.
  • Hands on testing (functional, regression, integration, performance, end-to-end and non-functional testing).
  • Perform both manually and automated testing including defect tracking and reporting.
  • Work closely with software developers and product owner and collaborate with other departments.
  • Ensure we have appropriate QA documentation in place.
  • Monitor and evaluate QA metrics to identify areas for improvement (testing methods, tools, and frameworks) and make recommendations for changes to QA processes and practice.
  • Establish and facilitate the QA community for knowledge sharing and co-ownership of QA functions.
  • Coordinate and handling test data so that test data is available in suitable quality and correct format together with test environment.
  • Mentoring and training other QA engineers to be successful
  • Stay up to date on trends and best practices in quality assurance and provide training and guidance to team members on these topics.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong demonstrable experience of Software Quality Assurance, preferably as QA Lead.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, leading and managing test activities.
  • A deep understanding of defect reporting, version control, and configuration management, along with different testing methods (functional, system integration, UAT, performance).
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently, as well as being a strong team player with a passion for Quality.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and sense of ownership.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust rapidly to new challenging situations.
  • Good analytical skills, identify dependencies and risk assessments.
  • Strong positive "Can-do-attitude", fearless, proactive and take own initiative.
  • Structured, organized, and great communicator.
  • Enthusiastic Team player
  • Experience using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
  • Experience testing for multiple Platforms
  • Experience mentoring others on the team
  • Experience of Jira or similar tools
  • Fluent in English.

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE:

  • ISTQB certification
  • Technical Background and can write your own test automaton scripts from scratch (ideally using Java).
  • Experience with test tools (Cucumber, Selenium or similar).
  • Hands on experience with automation best practices and development tools, Unit and Integration testing for APIs and Web applications.
  • Understanding of testing APIs at both client/sdk level and how they interact with backend services
  • Experience with container solutions (Docker/Kubernetes)
