The Head of PR & Media Relations will spearhead our media relations and public relations strategies, focusing on promoting the DFINITY Foundation and the Internet Computer. This role requires a deep understanding of the media landscape, particularly in tech and blockchain, and the ability to develop relationships that enhance DFINITY’s visibility and influence.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a global media relations strategy that aligns with DFINITY’s tech innovations and goals.
• Craft compelling messaging and narratives around the Internet Computer and related initiatives, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with PR agencies, journalists, and media outlets in the tech and business sectors, especially those focusing on AI and blockchain.
• Manage the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other content that effectively communicates DFINITY’s mission and achievements.
• Coordinate with the Founder, the Chief of Staff, and the Leadership team to ensure synchronicity in public messages and strategies.
• Prepare DFINITY’s leadership for interviews, press conferences, and public speaking engagements to enhance their effectiveness in conveying key messages.
• Direct crisis communication planning and response, maintaining DFINITY’s reputation through strategic message management during critical events.
• Build and oversee the day-to-day activities of the PR & Media Relations team, including setting objectives, monitoring performance, and developing talent.
• Analyze media coverage and develop reports on PR campaigns' effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.

Requirements:

• At least 12 years of experience in PR and media relations, with a significant focus on AI and blockchain.
• Experience in working with Founders in the tech industry, in fast-growing start-up organizations.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful media relations campaigns in the technology sector.
• Extensive network of media contacts in technology and mainstream press, with specific expertise in blockchain and AI preferred.
• Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage a media relations team effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to articulate complex technical topics in a clear and engaging manner.
• Experience in crisis management and reactive communications, able to handle high-pressure situations with sound judgment.
• Passionate about the Internet Computer blockchain technology and its potential to transform industries and society.
• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
