YOUR PURPOSE

Coin Metrics is recruiting a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to provide leadership to the team responsible for building out, maintaining, and troubleshooting our rapidly expanding infrastructure.

YOUR VALUE

• Reviewing and analyzing high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
• Designing, building, deploying and maintaining infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendors
• Making decisions in technical designs, implementing plans and identifying project risks and resource requirements
• Directing the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
• Managing a Kubernetes orchestration layer for deployed products on Linux
• Investigating issues and responding to incidents, creating a service first environment
• Suggesting and introducing new technologies and/or applications to provide the best infrastructure results for customers
• Working to automate monitoring and alerting processes.
• Enhancing deployment architecture on AWS, GCP and Bare-metal using Gitlab, Ansible and Kubernetes
• Overseeing design of CI/CD pipelines using Helm Charts and Gitlab.
• Ensuring system security and best practices are used to fortify company infrastructure.
• Managing comprehensive infrastructure covering both blockchain network data and market data

YOUR EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE

• Interest in crypto and cryptoassets
• Experience configuring, running and maintaining mission critical applications through container management toolkits (Kubernetes)
• 7+ years of direct experience in infrastructure, DevOps or back-end engineering roles.
• Experience with large relational or time series databases (Postgres important)
• Deep experience in Linux environments
• Experience with infrastructure as code software toolkits, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience leading a team of talented infrastructure engineers
• Experience with scaling and migrating systems within and across data centers
• Experience with one or more cloud infrastructure providers (e.g. AWS, GCP).
• Networking, switches, NAT, and other relevant experience
• Experience using monitoring systems such as Telegraf, Prometheus, and Grafana
