Job Description and Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for a bright and motivated graduate with exceptional writing skills and a strong interest in SEO, SEM, and emerging technologies to join our growing marketing team.

This is an ideal entry-level role for someone who’s excited about the world of Web3, blockchain, and data privacy – and is eager to turn that interest into intelligent, high-performing digital content. You will play a key role in expanding our online presence and thought leadership across key product areas, especially Silent Data.

What You’ll Do:

Your main responsibilities will revolve around content-driven SEO, SEM, technical marketing, and performance-based campaigns:

Content & SEO:

  • Write compelling, clear, and SEO-optimised content: articles, landing pages, blogs, and product explainers.
  • Translate complex technical concepts related to blockchain and privacy technologies (e.g. rollups, oracles, confidential computing) into clear, engaging language.
  • Conduct keyword research and track trends, competitors, website traffic, and content performance using SEO tools like Ahrefs, Hotjar, Google Analytics, and Search Console.
  • Support and evolve the SEO strategy with the Marketing Coordinator.
  • Help structure and update website content to improve rankings and user experience using tools like Webflow and Intercom.

SEM & Paid Campaigns:

  • Support the planning and execution of SEM campaigns, including Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Contribute ad copy, keyword insights, and provide recommendations for ad formats and creatives.
  • Assist with A/B testing, ad targeting, and budget tracking.

Broader Digital Marketing Support:

  • Help manage and improve our Intercom live chat experience, including responding to user inquiries, maintaining AI conversation workflows, and suggesting improvements to drive better engagement and conversion.
  • Support LinkedIn and Twitter/X posts and monitor performance.
  • Support the creation and scheduling of email marketing campaigns, including mobile-friendly and industry-focused newsletters via Pipedrive CRM.
  • Segment audiences and track engagement to inform improvements.
  • Contribute to wider communications, sales outreach, and employer branding as needed.

Must Have:

  • A bachelor's degree, ideally in computer science, technical writing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent written English - intelligent, engaging, and precise.
  • Demonstrated interest in SEO and content marketing.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals: keyword research, on-page SEO, technical SEO.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, SurferSEO, Google Search Console).
  • 1+ year of experience with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g. Canva, Figma, Adobe Suite, Zapier, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Podcast platforms, Riverside, Medium).
  • Comfortable using live chat or support platforms (e.g. Intercom), and able to respond clearly and helpfully to product-related inquiries.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisation – comfortable working independently and prioritising multiple tasks.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
  • Existing knowledge of, or a strong interest in learning about, blockchain, data privacy technologies (e.g. TEEs, ZKPs), decentralised infrastructure, and Web3.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (British citizen, EU settled/pre-settled status, ILR).
  • Availability for full-time work with 2–3 days/week in our London office.
  • Ability to work in a stressful, fast moving startup environment.

Nice to Have:

  • A degree or academic background in computer science, data science, cryptography, or information security.
  • Experience writing about technical subjects for a non-technical audience (e.g. through academic projects, blogs, or internships).
  • Experience using CMS platforms (e.g. Webflow, WordPress).
  • Familiarity with paid advertising (Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Exposure to HTML, JavaScript, SQL, or technical marketing writing.
  • Experience managing or improving AI chat workflows or automated support tools (e.g. Intercom bots, FAQs, conversation routing).
  • Internship or project experience related to content creation, marketing, or data analysis.
  • Exposure to social media scheduling, CRM, or email tools (e.g. Pipedrive, Hootsuite, MailChimp).

NOTE: Applied Blockchain does not offer VisaSponsorship.

  • £1000 annual allowance for Training (up to 50% of this value can be used for you to buy workstation equipment to work from home).
  • 5 days/per year for Training.
  • In-person fun team events/team buildings every 3 months.
