About Pye Finance
Pye is building Solana’s yield protocol. Pye makes it easy to stake, trade and forward sell your Solana yield. Our team is currently building a decentralized bond protocol and yield marketplace where users can participate as stakers or traders. Stakers provide inventory to the market by selling their yield upfront, while traders are able to swap the yield of popular Solana LSTs for profit.
Role overview
We're looking for a React Engineer with experience in the Solana ecosystem and a passion for building DeFi applications. As an early team member, you will be responsible for building out Pye’s core web app, optimize and fix bugs and collaborate with the design team on ui/ux. The ideal candidate is design-orientated, cares about DeFi ux and can iterate fast!
Key Responsibilities
- React Development: Translate design systems in Figma and wireframes into frontend code, considering user experience. Being able to quickly iterate on the pure visual components.
- Integrate Solana Libraries: Implement @solana/wallet-adapter-base and @solana/web3.js to wire up visual components into a functional system for users. Handling all Web3 state transitions and feedback loops (eg. toasts, notification) in a DeFi-intuitive way.
- Project Management: Manage frontend projects end-to-end, from the requirements gathering to the development testing and deployment of a project on Vercel and Next.js.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance, conduct rigorous testing, and iterate on feedback to optimize for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of React development and 2 years in Web3 (EVM, SVM)
- Previous experience using state management libraries such as Zustand, react-query for crypto applications
- Strong proficiency in React libraries and frameworks (Nextjs, Tailwind, Styled Components)
- Comfortable working with APIs written in TS/Node.js or Rust, as well as familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
- You are highly motivated, self-driven, passionate about staking and DeFi
- You write clean, readable and performant code
- English language proficiency
Bonus if:
- Previous experience implementing Solana web apps
- You have worked with DeFi protocols on Solana
- You live in EST or PST timezone
Benefits:
- Competitive cash compensation + token options plans (signing bonus & performance-based)
- Fully remote, flexible working schedule
- Paid company offsites, conferences and travels
- Budget for work equipment
What does an Solana developer do?
As a Solana developer, your responsibilities would include designing, implementing, and maintaining applications on the Solana blockchain platform using Rust programming language
This would involve using the Solana software development kit (SDK) to write smart contracts and build decentralized applications (dApps) that make use of the platform's features and capabilities
You would also be responsible for ensuring that your dApps are secure, efficient, and scalable, and for testing and debugging your code to ensure its correct behavior
Additionally, you may be involved in the ongoing development and improvement of the Solana platform itself, working with other members of the Solana community to drive innovation and advance the state of blockchain technology.
