WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist in month-end close process and other assigned department related tasks
- Reconcile digital assets activity (exchanges, wallets, DeFi, etc)
- Record monthly journal entries, transactions, and prepare related account reconciliations including but not limited to bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, prepaid expense and amortization, accrued expenses, accounts receivable and deferred revenue, and reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts
- Actively maintain and review designated general ledger accounts and activity
- Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues in a timely manner
- Consistently evaluate and optimize areas for process improvement and automation to ensure proper accounting and reporting
- Assist with external audit requests during both the annual audit and quarterly reviews
- Support business processes by partnering with other departments, including but not limited to: FP&A, Accounts Payable, Engineering, Marketing, Business Development, Human Resources
- Partake in ad hoc accounting or finance projects and analysis, as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- BS in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within Traditional Finance, FinTech, or Blockchain
- Digital Asset accounting experience highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) with proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels in a clear and concise manner
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Strong systems orientation with a desire to drive process automation, using financial systems and tools
