A proprietary HFT trading firm is opening offices in Chicago this year is looking for a Crypto Options Trader (No crypto experience needed!)
They are an expanding team of HFT/Market Making industry veterans. It is a place full of opportunity for the driven and talented entrepreneurially minded trader/quant researcher/technologist/generalist. While they are team-oriented (no silos), they have good profit splits on the business for bonuses and an employee option plan to get top performers involved in the equity of the firm.
They are building an automated and scalable liquidity provision business for options and Delta One products. Focus on high-quality short-term predictive models and reliable risk management.
They are building a smart and fast execution infrastructure and a multi-purpose analysis framework capable of easily performing market research.
Who are you?
An aspiring Options Trader that enjoys working in a team, is very eager to learn new skills and has the following skills, qualifications, and experience:
- Mental fortitude to handle a fast-paced trading environment
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive it to completion
- A track record of driving PNL improvements
- Ability to communicate effectively with technologists and demonstrate algorithmic thinking and the ability to evaluate trade-offs.
- Option trading experience (does not need to be crypto specific)
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Experience managing the risk of an options portfolio
- Advanced knowledge of options pricing and volatility models
- Experience creating and modifying volatility fitting models.
What are your responsibilities?
- Handle operational trading of our strategies (manage daily parameter changes)
- Talking to brokers and make markets and trade on the phone, responding to RFQs.
- Do post-trade analysis to identify improvements to trading algorithms
- Monitor the performance of trading stack
- Research new alpha signals in volatility space
- Simulate and optimize the trading model
- Automate trading processes
- Build analysis tools for trading
- Optimize trading revenue within the pre-defined risk parameters
- Collaborate with developers, infrastructure team and other traders to discuss optimal and creative solutions
