Investment Analyst at Protocol Labs
The Protocol Labs Compensation Team manages and oversees all compensation programs. Our work impacts each and every Labber through the initiatives we administer to reward, incentivize, and retain top talent.
As a part of the investment team at Protocol Labs, youâll have an outsized impact on the entire organization by working on key initiatives across multiple areas, including analytics, project management, business development, process improvement, systems, and special projects. In this role, you will work closely with Protocol Labsâ leadership to structure and solve complex problems, then drive solutions forward across the organization.
As an Investment Analyst at Protocol Labs you will be tasked with
- Proactively identifying new investment opportunities and qualifying inbound leads by meeting with entrepreneurs.
- Helping the team evaluate new investment opportunities through market research, product reviews, competitive analysis, metrics analysis, customer/user reviews, and technical diligence.
- Collaborating with the ecosystem team to support the portfolio by helping them access the right resources across the extended Protocol Labs network.
- Partner with leadership and analytics team to implement dashboards, reporting, systems, and tooling to enhance Protocol Labs Investment Teamâs operations and effectiveness.
- Being an active contributor to the community by organizing activities, participating in local events and looking for ways to help make the Protocol Labs team stronger.
You may be a fit for this role if youâŚ
- Have a passion for open source and distributed computing
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience in venture capital, investment banking, or a startup/technology business
- Handle both complexity and ambiguity well
- Native understanding of blockchain technology and experience reviewing white papers or crypto projects
- Strong written and analytical skills for deal analysis and internal reporting
- Pride yourself in being a self-starter, thriving even without much direction
- Deep experience coordinating work across teams with different goals
- A rigorous, process-driven work >
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Technical background or experience in data science a plus
