Monad Labs is looking for an Events Lead to join our team in New York City! As the Events Lead, you will develop strong vendor relationships, use analytical insights to improve upon and hit event objectives, and play the key role in creating memorable experiences for attendees. Your efforts will define the Monad event experience and ensure that every hosted event maintains or raises the bar in delivering an exceptional experience for an audience that spans investors, builders, developers, and partners. The ideal candidate is meticulous, charismatic, and passionate about crafting and delivering memorable social experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the planning and execution of team-hosted and/or sponsored events, which may span from small gatherings to larger conferences across both local and foreign destinations
  • Assess and understand unique event requirements for different regions and venues
  • Work within and/or set budgets for events and demonstrate proficiency in financial management, contract negotiation, and relationship management with vendors and key agencies
  • Identify, create, and track key analytics to continuously improve event impact and ROI
  • Create and maintain an operational guidebook to encourage consistent branding and event ambiance across diverse event types

Who You Are:

  • Socially aware, ruthlessly organized and detail-oriented, self-sufficient; can effectively manage up and independently prioritize
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to navigate potential language barriers
  • Have an innate eye for design who can bring creative ideas to life
  • Enjoy connecting and collaborating with people across global time zones
  • Bonus: professional fluency in a foreign language

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of significant event planning experience:
    • Ownership of complex events from conception to completion
    • Management of direction and execution of both small-scale and very large-scale, multi-day events

  • Comfortable working off-hours, being on-call, and adapting to flexible schedules as per event requirements
  • Ability to be onsite and the designated POC for events, with up to 30% travel required domestically and internationally
  • Enthusiasm for Monad’s mission and interest in the crypto space
  • Based in NYC

Why Work with Us?

  • You’ll work on extremely challenging problems with massive impact
  • You’ll work with and learn from a small, exceptional team (bios here: https://monadlabs.xyz/team), and be a part of a flat, results-driven organization
  • You’ll receive a competitive salary
  • You’ll shape the culture both internally as an early employee and externally with community- and ecosystem-oriented events
  • Your work will be deeply impactful, creating access points for new and existing ecosystem participants to discover a future with efficient decentralized computation.

Salary and Benefits

Minimum full-time salary of $150,000 (**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; a final offer amount may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, domain expertise, and geographic location).
