Blockswap is looking for a crypto-savvy community lead. A focused individual to assist in creating and building our communication channels. You will increase communication and growth organically through Discord, Telegram, Youtube, Twitter, and other communication channels. The Blockswap community will look to you for conversation and you will be able to communicate the communities desires and needs.

As an open-source, permissionless protocol, we believe that enabling trustless access to blockchain benefits everyday users is critical to shape the future of DeFi, to facilitate greater adoption in global digital economies and communities. Our mission is to coordinate open access to the PoS network native staking yield by empowering anyone to earn fixed-rate yield.

Note this is a full-time, remote first role and must be in North America working between PT and UK time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and improve our community presence through community activities and activations designed by you and the marketing team.
  • Create unique viral marketing campaigns which will both increase community size and keep current community members engaged.
  • Be an active member in our communications channels by proactively starting conversations and building relationships on Discord and Telegram with quick response times.
  • Create a community growth strategy with clear KPI's centered around user growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Serve as an intermediary between Blockswap and the community fielding questions and directing people to internal information and outside sources.
  • Create strategies to highlight the company's releases and core content to the general community.
  • Be a Blockswap brand advocate, working collaboratively with Marketing, Communications, Research, and Compliance teams on messaging and product positioning.
  • Copywriting including FAQs, walkthroughs, and posts to the community.
  • Ability to write and proofread community responses quickly paying close attention to typos, accuracy, messaging angle, and the bigger picture discussion.
  • Distill complex crypto technology and NFT concepts into easy to understand short form responses for the community.

Requirments

  • 3+ years community management, marketing, sales, or growth experience.
  • Must have a firm understanding of DeFi, NFTs, and crypto with the ability to have conversations about industry leading products.
  • Proven community growth experience on Discord, in person events, or social media profiles.
  • Currently communicating within various crypto communities on Discord.
  • Excellent understanding of growth tactics for building larger communities.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with an ability to work both independently and in a fast paced team.
  • Fluent in English.

Bonus

  • Experience working in Crypto.
  • Deep understanding of DeFi, NFTs, and crypto.
  • Experience working in a crypto or startup environment.
  • Contributor to a blog or other publication.
  • Understanding of the technology that runs crypto.
  • Good knowledge of crypto Twitter.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Miro.
  • Enjoys talks about DAOs, NFTs, and rug pulls.
