Turnt Gaming powers next generation interactive entertainment products and media with a deep focus on reimagining how live content is consumed. We partner with media, gaming, and wagering companies to create new ways to play. Our first game, Taunt Battleworld is a blockchain-based fighting game simulator. We recently closed our first fundraising round led by top VC’s including Polygon Studios, Shima Capital, Genblock Capital and more.
We are seeking an experienced leader who can join as our Head of Community, bringing a data-driven approach to developing and rolling out community policies, designing and leading community engagement programs and working cross functionally at a leadership level to ensure product and operations activities are aligned with community goals. The ideal candidate has built and managed communities on Discord, Twitter, Reddit and additional social platforms plus knows how to craft our strategy from the ground-up and be a public-facing, active voice in our community. We expect you to love authoring content, leading events, and working with partners and additional stakeholders to effectively communicate our messaging to the community.
Responsibilities
- Establish and own the day-to-day strategy of the Taunt Battleworld community, building harmony across full time team members and mods as well as the rest of the Taunt Battleworld organization (technical, marketing, product, etc.)
- Develop and scale our community team, plus institute processes ensuring best in class community guidelines & management, maximizing efficiency and a fan-first approach across multiple platforms including Discord, Reddit, & Twitter
- Lead community programming and communications, including contributing to our internal marketing content calendar plus external community meetups/events with an emphasis on growing peer-to-peer learning and leadership opportunities within the community
- Set and track program performance goals through data measurement tools and dashboards
- Work with product and marketing teams to manage community engagement in lead up to roll out of new products and services
- Be a spokesperson for Taunt Battleworld within the community, and act as an evangelist for Taunt Battleworld in the outer creative, crypto, NFT and web3 community
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years proven work experience as a community leader
- Experience crafting a strategy for community initiatives (i.e. managing a Discord server, launching an ambassador program, creating events/AMAs/Podcasts, Reddit forum, etc.)
- Experience in digital communications/community building in crypto/fintech, art, fashion, sports, esports and/or collectibles industries
- Be extremely detail oriented and organized, keeping the entire team “in the know” on community growth progress and goals
- Experience planning and leading community initiatives
- Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs
- Experience with creative or crypto/web3/NFT-focused communities is a plus
