The Financial Market Team ❤️

The Financial Markets Team at OpenZeppelin accelerates the adoption of security solutions for financial institutions moving onchain. As tokenization and digital assets gain momentum, we support the world’s largest institutions with industry-leading security audits and open-source smart contract libraries.

Our focus is on driving revenue through security services while developing innovative solutions for a rapidly evolving market. This includes forming strategic alliances with Web3 partners and traditional institutions, and creating battle-tested open-source tooling with the internal ecosystem development team.

We operate cross-functionally with Sales, Ecosystem, Project Delivery, and Legal to ensure a seamless go-to-market strategy and execution.

What you'll be doing

As the first dedicated Account Executive in the Financial Markets team, you’ll play a key role in executing our go-to-market strategy, closing deals, and laying the foundation for scaling the sales organization.

You will:

  • Manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing - with financial institutions and Web3 projects bridging TradFi and DeFi.
  • Lead discovery conversations with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, to understand client needs and effectively present OpenZeppelin’s value proposition.
  • Stay up-to-date on evolving market trends and competitive dynamics to proactively drive outreach and guide sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts, track performance, and continuously refine your sales approach using data-driven insights.
  • Represent OpenZeppelin at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships and uncover new business opportunities.

You have

  • 3+ years of experience in Enterprise sales with a strong track record of exceeding revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of Web3 and digital assets (direct experience in crypto a plus).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • An established network in the blockchain ecosystem, including founders and key industry players.
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to think creatively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote-first, global team.
  • Residency in the Eastern Time Zone (US).

Nice to have

  • A strong network of crypto asset managers, hedge funds, market makers, and intermediaries.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Experience generating innovative ideas, fail fast and effectively communicating insights to clients and internal teams.
  • Experience in software development, especially with Solidity smart contracts.
