Role and Responsibilities
As the Partner Operations Lead at Optimism, you will drive high-impact strategic initiatives that shape both our company trajectory and Go-to-Market roadmap. You’ll work across the organization to define key priorities, synthesize internal and external insights, and build the operational frameworks that enable us to scale with clarity and discipline. This is a cross-functional, high-ownership role suited for someone who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by solving hard problems.
What are the role responsibilities?
Be the “right hand person” to our chief growth officer in shaping and executing our GTM strategy
Own end-to-end delivery of hard, ambiguous strategic projects with rigor and independence – from problem definition to final recommendation
Develop a deep understanding of our peer and competitor positioning as well as the emerging crypto landscape
Partner with the Data team to define key metrics and targets, and further embed feedback loops between metrics and downstream actions
Help drive quarterly and annual planning efforts, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders and the Exec team
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and founders
What skills do you bring?
8-10+ years of experience in a business strategy / operations role across consulting and high-growth tech companies
Strong business modeling skills (Excel / Google Sheets); SQL or Python a plus, but not required
Excellent communicator, both written (e.g., memos, decks) and verbal, with an executive presence
Strong project management—you’re organized, responsive, and can push multiple workstreams forward in parallel
Collaborative and low-ego, with a track record of influencing cross-functional partners and senior leadership
Web3 curiosity or experience—you’re either fluent in crypto or eager to get fluent fast
