As Finoa’s Head of Data Science and Analytics, you will build and lead a team with the best data scientists and analytics specialists. You and your team will, among other things, support Product in building the best products, support Tech to understand operational challenges, and offer Business, Marketing and Management customer and market insights as well as ecosystem insights from on-chain analysis.

To be successful in this role you have experience of building and managing world-class engineering teams and/or data science teams, and will have a track record of driving data-informed decisions in scale-up companies. 

Responsibilities

• Grow, lead and inspire a team of data scientists and analytics specialists
  
• Define, develop and promote the Data Science and Analytics strategy and roadmap
• Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, and support data-driven decisions in products
• Work with management and business functions to deliver data driven outcomes

• Experience from managing Data/Analytics teams, working collaboratively with Tech, Product, and cross-functional partners

• Hands-on background expected, implementations within data engineering or data science, preferably having delivered solutions end to end as well as architecting data warehouses / data lakes

• Deep understanding of the requirements of key stakeholders and ability to translate it to an actionable plan for data scientists, data engineers and data analysts

• Demonstrated experience in hiring, retaining and scaling diverse, distributed, high performing teams

• Highly proficient with SQL, cloud computing environments as well as data warehouse and data lake architecting

• Working knowledge of modern and current Data, ML and Analytics tooling

• Experience of web and app tracking

• Experience from blockchain, crypto currency protocols, validators, etc is huge plus

• Recent experience of regulated businesses required, ideally fintech or insurtech

• Start-up / Scale-up experience

• EU resident or visa holder, able to spend time in Berlin or Porto as needed
