Description
Curie is looking for a customer obsessed artist who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the 3D imagery of our product selection. This candidate will leverage their demonstrated expertise of image quality and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality to ensure the highest technical standards are maintained.
This candidate will generate high quality, realistic 3D models for retail AR purposes. To deliver solutions to our customers' needs, this candidate will need good communication for model questions, updates, and deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Generate PBR level assets (color, roughness, shiny, metalness, normal maps).
- Artist will be determined to have tested their own assets as quality before submission.
- Artists need to balance between efficient and small files sizes under 5 megs while still being the best looking asset.
- Develop and maintain knowledge management tools such as wikis and shared drives with other artists.
- At least 1 year of professional level creative/digital design experience in a start-up environment
- Familiar with the latest techniques in machine assisted or automated content
- Able to think of “modular workflows” that allow “batches” of models to quickly make similar objects/skus/variations
- Familiar with practices and procedures across the industry including video games, visual effects, and advertising
- Solid skills with 3D editing tools such as Maya, 3DS Max or Blender.
- Experienced in using CRMs and AirTable
- Knowledge in any of the following AR tools: AR in Unity, AR in Unreal, AR Quicklook, AR Scene View, Immersive Web, Model-Viewer
- Knowledge in any of the the following 3D tools: USD/USDZ, GLTF/GLB, Model-Viewer, Substance Painter/Designer or similar tools
- An online portfolio demonstrating digital design skills and innovative interactive work that we can review and match art >
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Scripting abilities for automation in 3D apps like Max, Maya, Blender for technical artist skills desired.
- Latest in web, technology, NFT, gaming, and internet tools savvy
