The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ethereum and related technologies. The EF is not a company or even a traditional non-profit. We do not control Ethereum, nor are we the only organization that funds the critical development of Ethereum-related technologies. We are part of a large ecosystem of organizations, individuals, and companies that support Ethereum. Our mission is to do what is best for Ethereum’s long-term success. Our role is to allocate resources to critical projects, to be a valued voice within the Ethereum ecosystem, and to advocate for Ethereum to the outside world.
Your mission is to help manage accounts controlled by the Ethereum Foundation (EF). You will play a leading role in shaping the future of the EF’s approach to social media, and evolving that approach over time as the ecosystem changes. The EF manages two different kinds of social media accounts. One type are accounts that represent the Ethereum Foundation (e.g. @ethereumfndn on X), and are used to share updates from our organization. The second category are accounts which represent Ethereum and the Ethereum ecosystem (@ethereum on X), but which are stewarded by the EF.
You will help to refine the approach for both, as each has different goals and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all of the EFs social media accounts day to day
- Work with EF leadership and team members to refine how we use each type of account
- Track developments across the entire Ethereum ecosystem and identify important developments to signal boost and valuable stories to tell
- Organize complex social media campaigns, which may involve large numbers of contributors and stakeholders
- Over time, you will contribute to adjacent comms and community related projects in addition to the core responsibilities above.
Qualifications:
- You write clearly and concisely.
- You live and breathe the Ethereum ecosystem, especially apps
- You know X well, and are familiar with Farcaster, Lens, Bluesky, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- You’ve managed high profile accounts with > 10,000 followers before
