Your ability to ensure we’re on the right side of this network effect will deliver a direct and outsized impact to Scroll, our product, and the broader Ethereum ecosystem.

About you

    • You’re willing and able to be fully hands-on in sourcing, assessing and closing world-class talent, based anywhere in the world, across multiple functions.
    • You enjoy sourcing and excel at finding passive talent in niche hiring channels, and at the care and effort needed to nurture relationships with that talent over time. 
    • You have an exec search-like ability to methodically plan, structure and run a search. You’re able to define an intentional sourcing strategy, up front, and can discern and tell an objective, data-driven story about the search in order to bring your hiring partners along, and pivot it when needed.
    • You can map, track and engage a given talent pool – over the long term – and involve hiring partners to escalate and evolve Scroll’s relationships with that pool.
    • You’re excited to get to implement this type of systematic approach with your hiring partners at Scroll, and have the gravitas and influencing skills to put in place the process and tools required.
    • You’re able to point to specific examples/a track record of having directly attracted and built an exceptional team, in this way, in close partnership with hiring managers and leaders.
    • You have the business acumen and curiosity to keep up with a fast-moving space, and to understand and communicate the way changes impact the roles you hire, and the talent market you target and nurture.
    • You take action, enjoy and value autonomy and distributed work, and have the self-drive, concise and open communication (spoken, written, async, cross-cultural), data habits, and speed required to execute and collaborate as part of a high-performing, fully remote team. 
    • You combine expertise in your TA craft with the humility, maturity and curiosity required to learn and improve; you gather and leverage others' ideas and feedback to adjust course when needed. 
    • Startup experience, and/or experience in a small, fast-moving team with less defined processes in place.
    • The ability to speak Mandarin and read and write Chinese at a native level, to be able to source via Chinese-language channels (i.e. social media platforms, referrals, websites, etc.).

Nice to haves

    • Able to comfortably cover Asia and Europe/Middle East time zones
    • Broader HR experience
    • The diversity of functions you’ve hired for is more important than having any one function, but experience making technical hires is a solid plus
    • You have built/run hiring programs to scale recruiting efforts.
    • You can think programmatically to design them, and have the influencing and partnership skills to be able to implement them as TA, with hiring managers and leaders and/or marketing. Examples: referral programs, hiring events, and/or social media campaigns.
