Seneca is a privacy-preserving and capability-rich blockchain protocol built to expand the usefulness of web3 technology for real-life, information-intensive interactions.

Intelligent business transactions have been one of the primary business growth drivers of the last dozen years. This growth came with increased centralization and exaggerated decrease in individual privacy and agency, which many emerging web3 applications want to change. Seneca’s ambition is to build an open system capable of returning privacy and agency to individuals while continuing to provide the benefits of rich data processing that’s become table stakes in web2 technologies and transactions.

We believe that many of the cryptographic methodologies and data system tools needed already exist. We are working to engineer these tools together into a coherent system that goes beyond simple, single-purpose credentials that have niche and limited utility in order to handle real-world transactional complexity.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated, high-achieving strategist and operator to work as our CEO’s right hand. You will:

• Collaborate Seneca’s Founder and CEO to
• Create and execute corporate strategies that builds a strong financial foundation for the company’s next-stage growth
• Drive and execute our next fundraising process
• Maintain and enhance relationships with investors
• Work with our fractional CFO to
• Create, stress test, and refine financial models and projections in support of business development and strategic planning
• Support day-to-day financial operations, such as managing outside accountants and monitoring budget and cash flow
• Grow and leverage expertise in web3 economics and evolving regulatory landscape to develop and implement incentive strategies
  
  

You will be solving some of hardest problems in a frontier technology and social space.

Requirements

You bring with you serious intellectual chops and professional maturity that are backed up with a track record of excellence. You have both the financial expertise and relational skills to structure ambiguous and at times highly abstract problems, then chart a path towards delivery and success as part of a collaborative team. You also have:

• 3+ years experience at a top tier venture firm or investment bank with proven hands-on success in deal-making or fundraising
• 5+ years experience building financial models and projection and presenting them to senior stakeholders
• Substantial professional experience in research and complex information analysis, able to synthesize large amount of quantitative and qualitative data for consumption
• Experience with web3 technology’s growth and development.
• Proven record bringing creative solutions to non-traditional problems within tight resource constraints
• Believer in the core values that we hold dear: the courage to defend natural rights, mutual interdependence, and individual freedom.
