Horizen Labs is seeking a Director of Marketing to organize, design, and oversee execution of the company’s brand and communication activities. This position will report directly into the VP of Ecosystem Growth.This individual will manage a team of growth marketers, creatives, and coordinators. They will drive creativity and enthusiasm for the company’s initiatives and provide significant guidance to marketing team members. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for crafting and amplifying the strategy around Horizen Labs’ ecosystem building efforts. The Director of Marketing will work cross-departmentally and functionally, both within the Ecosystem team, maintaining close relationships with Product Marketing and Business Development as well as with other stakeholders ranging from Product to Enterprise Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
- Manage a team of growth marketers, creatives and marketing coordinators.
- Work closely and cross-functionally within the broader Ecosystem team.
- Provide support and work cross-departmentally with the Enterprise, Product and Tech teams.
Brand and Communications
- Own the broader messaging around Horizen Labs, it’s products and efforts
- Work closely with Product Marketing on communications based on positioning and research.
- Manage, delegating as appropriate, efforts around public relations, website properties and outbound marketing (including but not limited to dot com properties, social media, and email)
General Marketing
- Design and implement strategies that raise awareness of Horizen Labs’ activities
- Plan and execute cross-functional marketing campaigns, ensuring a high standard of execution, reporting, and constant optimization.
- Lead content marketing efforts and deliverables
Desired Skills & Experiences:
- Self-starter with experience owning multiple areas of marketing
- Proven leadership and experience in a high level marketing role within the blockchain and crypto industries.
- Proven track record of clear and productive cross-departmental communication
- Flexible team player with a startup mentality and a willingness to engage in tasks outside of their established skillset

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of marketing experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Web2/Web3 tech companies (seed stage or big tech); Bonus for crypto or FinTech experience
- Excellent track record in marketing blockchain technologies with meaningful contributions toward key company initiatives
- An entrepreneurial spirit that is flexible, experimental, and resourceful
