About the Team:
The Okcoin sales & business development team drives volume and revenue growth. We focus on institutional customers and HNW individuals globally. We cover a full range of crypto institutional customer segments, such as trading firms, market makers, financial intermediaries, payment providers, buy-side managers, retail brokers, etc. We work with liquidity, distribution, custody partners to build a mutually beneficial crypto ecosystem.
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced business development manager to initially drive our banking and payments project which will give you a great insight into the business.
You are excited to work within a multicultural matrix organisation, working with Product, Finance, Compliance and others to coordinate initial and ongoing partnership efforts until a product is launched.
You are keen to learn and develop your skills and for the right candidate there's a growth path into an Institutional Sales role. It's key that you have a hunter mindset and are eager to contribute to our volume growth.
What you'll be Doing:
- Contribute to our banking & payments strategy and identify high-impact opportunities
- Lead and project manage the expansion of our European banking rails, working closely with internal stakeholders to drive execution
- Lead commercial negotiations with our partners
- Build an extensive network and maintain meaningful relationships to stay on top of key trends and industry developments
- Contribute to enhancing the Sales & Business Development function by identifying opportunities
What we look for in you:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or equivalent
- Minimum of 4+ years previous work experience in a business development at a bank or financial services company focused on payments / remittances
- Intellectually curious with a strong understanding of the crypto industry with an emphasis on remittances
- Excellent command of verbal, written and interpersonal communication in English and in at least one of the following German or any other Eastern European language
- Demonstrable track record of managing complex projects/processes and bringing it to a positive outcome
- Flexible working hours
Nice to Haves:
- Bonus points if you have previously worked at a crypto exchange
- Experience working across time zones and cross cultural teams
