Facilities Manager
Interchain is a young, ambitious, and values-led team working on the core blockchain technology of the Cosmos ecosystem and the Cosmos Hub. Weâre headquartered in Berlin, Germany, but our team stretches from the west coast of the US to eastern Europe. We keep in touch through Github, Slack, Discord, and Zoom, and meet in person periodically (when COVID permits). All in all, the software we develop secures billions of dollars in value across many different systems, but we donât take ourselves too seriously. We strive to build world-class software while having plenty of laughs along the way.
We are looking for a facilities manager to join us here in Berlin.
Your main duties and responsibilities can include:
- Working with the business and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, parking, grounds, cleaning, catering, technology and so on
- Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained
- Ordering and maintaining office equipment / stationery
- Ensuring coffee machines are in good working order and the supply remains steady
- Helping to ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
- Advising businesses on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments
- Helping businesses to relocate to new offices and to make decisions about leasing
- Taking care of incoming letters, eventually file them and make sure employees get their parcels when they are being delivered
- Weekly Post Office check-inâs
- Help organizing team events & retreats, make reservations, take responsibility for office admin tasks
- Decorate the office and take care of the plants
Key skills for facilities managers:
