Your Role:
We are a rapidly growing leader in decentralized science (DeSci), seeking an experienced General Counsel to shape our legal strategies and lead a small team of experienced lawyers. In this pivotal role, you will negotiate IP licenses with biotech companies and tackle legal challenges at the intersection of biotech and blockchain technologies.
What You'll Be Doing

Legal Strategy & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with Swiss laws and regulations, as well as applicable international legal frameworks.
Develop and lead Moleculeās legal strategy to support rapid growth, mitigate risks, and align with business objectives.

Biotech IP Expertise:
Advise on biotech intellectual property matters, including patent strategy, licensing agreements, and technology transfers.
Manage and protect the companyās IP portfolio to maximize value and competitive advantage.

Contract Negotiation & Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including research collaborations, licensing agreements, and partnerships.
Oversee commercial, employment, and corporate governance matters.

Crypto & Blockchain Legal Guidance:
Provide legal oversight on crypto-related initiatives, including blockchain-based platforms for IP management, tokenization strategies, and smart contract development.
Advise on compliance with regulatory requirements in the blockchain and crypto space.

Leadership & Collaboration:
Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic legal counsel and contribute to corporate decision-making.

Manage relationships with external legal advisors and stakeholders
What Weāre Looking For

Qualifications:
Licensed to practice law in Switzerland, with a strong understanding of Swiss and international legal frameworks.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in legal roles, with at least 3 years in a high-growth company setting.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, including scientists, technologists, and business executives.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Expertise in Biotech:
Significant experience in biotech, particularly in handling IP matters, including patents, licensing, and technology transfers.
Familiarity with biotech industry regulations and trends.

Crypto Experience:
Knowledge of blockchain technology and the legal landscape for crypto-related initiatives.
Experience navigating regulatory compliance in the crypto industry.

Familiarity with high-growth startup environments, particularly in biotech or tech sectors.
