About Noble Noble is purpose built infrastructure for stablecoin issuance. Noble solves a variety of critical pain points around native issuance for developers and issuers alike, including: security, liquidity, compliance, standardization, and neutrality. Noble’s long-term vision is to be a UX unlock for all stablecoin and RWA issuers.

Responsibilities Noble is building the AppLayer — an EVM L2 designed to power high-performance, high-impact applications — starting with our flagship DeFi app. We’re looking for a Solidity Engineer who can design, build, and ship secure, elegant smart contracts that will serve as the foundation for our ecosystem. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, and leadership to bring innovative DeFi functionality to life while ensuring security and scalability at every layer. Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain smart contracts for Noble’s AppLayer and flagship DeFi app, focusing on performance, scalability, and security. Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate requirements into robust, gas-efficient Solidity code. Integrate new DeFi primitives, features, and protocols into the AppLayer environment. Lead contract architecture decisions — from design to deployment — ensuring alignment with security best practices and long-term maintainability. Write thorough test suites (unit, integration) to guarantee reliability. Collaborate with security auditors and incorporate feedback to harden deployed contracts. Monitor, optimize, and upgrade deployed contracts to adapt to evolving user needs and network conditions. Contribute to SDKs, developer tooling, and integration guides for external teams building on AppLayer. Stay up to date on EVM advancements, Solidity patterns, Layer 2 scalability solutions, and cutting-edge DeFi innovations.

Requirements

Deep Solidity expertise — 3+ years building and shipping production smart contracts, ideally for high TVL DeFi protocols. Strong understanding of EVM internals, gas optimization, and storage patterns. Experience deploying to and working with Ethereum L1, L2s, and/or EVM-compatible chains. Familiarity with core DeFi mechanisms (AMMs, lending/borrowing, staking, yield strategies, liquidations, MEV dynamics). Proven track record of delivering secure contracts (knowledge of common attack vectors such as reentrancy, flash loans, sandwich attacks, etc.). Strong testing discipline  Clear and concise communication skills in English. Bonus: experience bridging EVM ↔ non-EVM chains, cross-chain messaging, or multi-chain liquidity systems.

How do I get a job at DeFi?

Getting a job in the DeFi (decentralized finance) industry can be a competitive process, but there are a few steps you can take to increase your chances of finding a job in this field:

  1. Build up your skills and knowledge: To work in DeFi, you'll likely need to have a strong understanding of blockchain technology, as well as other related technologies such as smart contracts and cryptocurrency. Consider taking online courses or earning a degree in a relevant field to build up your skills and knowledge.
  2. Network with industry professionals: Attend meetups and conferences related to DeFi and make connections with professionals in the industry. Networking can be a valuable way to learn about job openings and get your foot in the door at a DeFi company.
  3. Create a strong online presence: Many DeFi companies will look at your online presence (such as your LinkedIn profile and personal website) when considering you for a job. Make sure to showcase your skills and accomplishments online and keep your profile up to date.
  4. Apply for relevant job openings: Keep an eye out for job openings at DeFi companies and apply for positions that align with your skills and experience. Apply for DeFi Jobs without Experience. Tailor your resume and cover letter to the specific job you're applying for and highlight any relevant experience or skills you have.
  5. Consider internships or volunteer work: DeFi Internships or volunteer work can be a great way to get your foot in the door and gain valuable experience in the DeFi industry. Many companies also offer internships to students, so consider applying for an internship if you're still in school.
  6. Be persistent: keep trying if you don't get a job right away. It can take time to find the right opportunity, but with the right skills and determination, you can land a job in the DeFi industry.
