The Technical Documentation Writer will consult with marketing, engineering, sales and technical staff to prepare technical and end-user documentation for the Blockdaemon suite of products and services. You will develop and design documentation templates for both internal and external information. This role will function as a primary writer—responsible for deliverables of substantial scope and complexity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write, design, update, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and non-technical users to enhance the knowledge of our platform for existing and prospective customers and the developer ecosystem
- Review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, API developer documentation, and user documentation
- Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables
- Maintain a library of application documentation
- Publish and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others (technical specifications, RFP responses, etc.), ensuring a consistent “look and feel.”
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills and Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Qualified deep experience in an IT development environment and understanding technical concepts
- Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill
- Ability to update documentation quickly and efficiently
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and technical writing skills
- Comfortable proactively connecting and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to gather information
- Experience in presenting technical information either remotely or in person
- Familiarity with the blockchain ecosystem (multiple blockchain protocols, parachains, DeFi, use-cases)
- Able to prioritize work, pivot as necessary and meet deadlines
